Final cut-n-buff on Williams tank.
That would be me. Looks great, thank you!
Another one that took way too long. Don't ask.
Initial inquiry made March 20, 2020. I was number three in line. Tins shipped on Nov. 3, 2020. Tank shipped back to me somewhere along the way after pinholes were discovered in it. Tank shipped back to Jim (along with a few extras) on March 28, 2021, after I sealed the tank. This was never meant to be a race.
My assistants help was invaluable. :smoke:
Border Collie?

Here's one of the covers in sunlight. My phone camera just refuses to render the color correctly. Instead of the brilliant green my eyes are looking at, it's the same washed out green. :umm:
It just doesn't have the "pop" that it does in real life.

They appear Teal on my laptop, but I would trust you to color match any color in the 'rainbow'.:bike:
Yeah... it's weird. They appear teal on my phone and my computer as well, yet they look a perfect match for the mint candy green of the XS-1's in real life. Wish I had another camera to try... as I suspect it's a glitch in the Pixel 2XL camera.

Hi Jim, phone camera sensors are OK; but never render colour well.
They look great never the less; your prep work must have been well executed.

What?!?! :er: Black covers are Special too II.
Jeeze, I crack myself up. :lmao:

Three full coats of Centari "Negro Intenso." I don't speak the language, but even I can figure out that means "Very Black." :sneaky:

Let's back up a bit... Bead blasted these covers and they were a little more rusted than we initially thought....
Found that in about 4 different places

Nothing a little J B Weld couldn't handle though.

Inside is a fair bit worse.

Didn't do anything to the pits on the inside. Didn't really see any point.
'Sides... carrying pits around on a 40 sumpin' year old bike is kinda like a badge of honor.
Don't really want to see 'em on the outside though...
