81 xs650 won't idle/run consistently

It's riding much better after dead-cylinder-ing the idle mix screws, and I don't REALLY want to modify this bike too much ... so I just bought a cl360 scrambler that I don't have to feel bad about cutting up a bit. I'll get photos tomorrow, if anyone's interested (even though it's way off topic).

Does any one have a carb breakdown of those? Showing the idle circuit have one (left side) that does not idle, turning the throttle at about 3000 rpm the cyl pops and kicks in. You can ride it on the highway just fine, plenty of power, both cylinders fire just fine.
I don't want to run it much because the head bolts need a re-torque, there is wet oil under the head gasket.
I don't want to blow it.

Hi Gary, It is an xs650H? 1981 when riding it the front caliper is sticky and tight, I used a long thin
flat blade, loosened the fluid cap, and released the drag on the front wheel, She gets up and goes,
both cyls hitting hard and even. There is 9400 actual miles on the bike but the head gasket IS Actively
leaking, internally and externally, some smoke after idle and revving.... No more riding until the
heads get retorqued. (Are they the same as the older xs650's?) ie 28 lbs torque on the large nuts?
Even with the low 40's temps the electric starter started her in the 2nd or 3rd turn over, 1st, or 2nd cold!
She is totally complete, I just wonder if the faded switch/tac/ stickers are available?
Only electrical issue is the speedo and tac lights. should be easy fix, system charges just fine.
A $600.00 steal! BTW the Mikes XS Chrome side covers on closeout for $34.00 a set look fantastic!!!
