75 with pma having trouble overheating and getting timing right.

Got a friend's bike I'm working on. It's bare bones electric system with pma system, after market reg/rec, xs charge advance unit (blue one) ignition. Thing will start idle even can ride it but if it ain't getting super hot. Have gone trough cam chain tensioner , lashed valves, found tdc, got some marks on the case but it is just not acting right. Any thought questions comments?

Oh I replaced ignition coils and reg/rec and advace unit in the last month
