Gotta go scrub the number for a more positive ID
but mostly 82-83, speedo is MPH but wheels are (drum rear) mags.
Slides move freely after a little pry throttle shafts not so much.
Motor stuck (water in through carbs)
pitching out the unusable junk, it's coming apart.

At least the plugs came out without screwing up the head any more than it is.
`Hit em with PB blaster a few times and had to go back n forth on the RH plug about 4 5 times before it came all the way out smoothly. ;)
Dodgy numbers looks as re stamped 100821 or 122821
And difficult to see any usable parts Or am i Wrong ??
Rims ?? Mileage ???
Yeah good parts are few n far between. Carbs are all apart. LH throttle shaft now free, snaps back with the spring, still working on the RH. Diaphragms are good. Hoping the TCI will be good yet. Engine may be good with a bore and oversize pistons. showing just under 10K miles.

Isn't that restamp special? But I gotta think that was a factory screw up. :er:

I can say that much that if there was a bike with 10 k on the odometer
parked outdoors with that kind of stamping. Here
I don't think I would dare to go Close to it ..
Unless there is clear solid documentation and paperwork.
And a man in a Suit selling it.
But perhaps I have spent to long time in "The last owner segment "

Jeebus. I hope they paid you to haul that piece of shit off!
Per my comment elsewhere, things got slightly snafued. I ended up being embarrassed to have paid $75 for it. Was sitting out back at "dads" place. We had it dragged out of the brambles and loaded in the trailer before the daughter showed, she had run the ad and was a jerk about the price. Took some serious work to beat her down from $100. But thatsa OK.

Yeah but, the Frame # is fine that's the legal number.
History is sketchy, funny, grandkids had "dropped it off" out behind grandpa's shed about 20 years ago. They literally had to dig it free of the dirt. was down in the ground about 4,5 inches.
None of that matters, it's just parts. NO ONE is going to come looking for it LOL.
If I had to guess, they bought or stole it from the towing company that dragged it from the scene of the accident, and tried to get it going "there's some "that'll never work" kludgery.

see the copper wire "holding" the needle?
Several sheet metal screws jammed in where they shouldn't be, fuse box gone, wires twisted together. etc etc.

Hey, parts is parts, lol. Looks a lot like my $50 parts bike did, but at least you got two wheels, I only got one, lol. But I think you'll find lots of useful parts on it. Have you seen the price of engine side covers on eBay lately? And you should have the oil sight glass right one, that's a bonus.

In my region never assume by wheels or really anything what year a bike is. Go strictly by vin number. It’s funny how I’d post pics on here and arguments would start on what year. I’d throw random wheels on a bike just to get a roller. Then only to have people argue about the year. Lol Flat track guys where I’m at would sell piles and piles of parts/bikes cheap.

toss in here
this is the 1/4" impact that comes in the standard M18 2 piece drill kit.
screenshot(1).jpeg
With a 3/8" drive adapter and sockets, easily removed all the "laid rusting in a field for 20 years" 14-17mm nuts and bolts holding pegs, exhaust, shocks, spark plugs, all the carb screws, including the angle iron screws etc. quickly drilled off stripped out screw heads also. If I was only allowed one battery tool, this one.
It's december, leave circled ads for the kit where your sweetie can see them................
