Original is best but, that takes nothing away from the new Indian offering.
I’m quite sure that if they price it right it will sell in big numbers. Also I would bet it will be a very nice bike to ride, steady away down the country lanes.

At first glance I wasn’t a fan but now it’s staring to grow on me. Top view over the red tank looks great and I like the silver bike (limited edition?). Without prices being published, what’s everyone’s guess for the sticker price?
I guess in the 7-8k range. Keeps them competitive with RE and Moto Guzzi.
So that would be in the $10K range in Canada. Makes sense.
If I was gonna make a safe guess, I'd say the BSA will more expensive than a Royal Enfield Interceptor but cheaper than a Norton 961 Commando. Listening to the BSA chief, he seems to positioning the bike as an up-market offering so that means quite a lot more expensive than an RE?
But even though I don't want one, would much prefer to see it succeed in the market place so lets hope it's not dear enough to kill off sales.
IMHO, dropping the parallel twin would be a mistake. Yes, move on to V4, but many will lose interest if the twin is dropped. Triumph, RE, MG, etc. all making money with retro bikes.Someone say new Norton...watch (parallel twin, = yes, V4= no...)

Maybe not impossible. Ducati Scrambler 800/1100 are still around, so is the BMW R9T and many Guzzi models. Or are they maybe "grandfathered" by some earlier emissions standard?He gets a nice dig in on the Norton V4's

Some bikes are sneakily air & liquid cooled (some H-Ds?) or air & oil cooled. I think the R nine T has oil cooling for the cylinder heads?
