I like it man. Let me know how it works out for you. I have an extra case cover laying around here somewhere that I might try and at least chop the chain guard part off.

Im diggin the case! I wanna do mine the same and then have some decorative engraving done. You should do the other side too! :D

Nice kicker, who done it?

I've done all the work on the bike except sew the seatcover. Dry clutch with a chopped case? hmmm...

Yeah seat is homemade, but not really comfy, I think its a little too narrow, that or im just too fat lol.

Hey jamesgs4 - why is your stator cover stepped out..?? & where did you source he rear disc..is it from a speedway bike..??

He stepped the cover to allow more cooling. (I'm guessing)
A flat washer between the cover and case is a popular way to do it.
A mod xsjohn and others promote.

Working class choppers, Ithink that much case cut off will effect how the clutch works. Not enough strenght to keep the cover from flexing. To much flex to take up before the clutch starts to work, then not enough travel left to work clutch.
I use some nuts as spacers on the cover. The nuts use a ten mm wrench, one thin, one thick. Longer screws to match of course. Lets in much air to keep cool. Excess heat is not good for the alternator.

I like the look but would be a little concerned about the safey factor.
