Don't have a bike yet. I'm looking everyday trying to find one for the right price. Fortunately (because i have not found a bike yet) I have been forced to do my research before implosive buying everything haha. I can't wait to get stuck into my own bike like all you guys.
Two questions for the Aussies.... How many of you are members of local clubs or forums.
I.E. XS650 Club of Australia
Choppers Australia
Kustom Deluxe
The other question is how of you would want to have a Melbourne based get together as summer approaches? Along with a ride down the great ocean road or someplace?
No, I'm not a "clubby", as for Choppers and Oz and Kustom Deluxe, didn't know they existed (but I am an old fart just catching up on this intrawebulator stuff)
A ride, would be great, shame I'm 8hrs north of Melbourne
I spend most of my time here at XS650.com as there is a much larger population and it is XS specific, but if you want a few riding buddies or need to borrow a tool, we are a bit far away from the action. Some of these local sites may fill a few gaps.
As for being far away, if we get some numbers up maybe we can do a border ride and get at least VIC, NSW, & ACT to all come together along the murray or some thing?
I am on choppersaustralia.com and I am a paid member. Probably won't be renewing my membership as I haven't really gotten anything out of it. The few active QLD members on that forum are cool and I have met a few of them, but nothing really happens up here in QLD and justifies the membership fees.
Shaunster, I am just a forum member as there is very little organised rides, events etc in Vic as well. But I have met up with a few guys for shed days etc that were privately arranged.
I am currently designing some new club shirts etc for them.
I didnt join up at choppers aus either.. Mostly because I contacted them about joining and had no reply lol while I found some of the info on site interesting and enjoyed the tech type info.. I also dont see it being of enough benefit to me to warrant spending money on a membership that could go to buying parts for my bike.. Not much of a decision between those 2 things
