What's Your Favorite "Non XS"

My 99 ZRX1100 Kaw for daily riding-I love this motorcycle. Or H2 or RZ350's-I have both. :) Some days I would like a Ducati Monster.

I like any big vertical twin, my old KZ750 was the love of my life until I went to the XS650.

New would be my V-Star Silverado, it's been a good old horse:

I like old Sportsters. To me they look a lot smaller and lighter than the current offering.

I also like the xr1200. I know it's lame in some ways but it looks cooler than anything else made to me. And it looks comfortable and fun to ride.

My old 1973 Kawasaki Z-1 900, that I rode for 27 years. Sold it to a collector in Florida.....Oh, why did I do that.......

I like my most current machine the best. 05 R1. Its painful after 5 hours and I have to wear a soft wrist brace and it gets freakin hot sitting in traffic but it represents all the work Yamaha has done over the years to make these things handle better, stop better and let me go light speed. My old (20 years ago) FZ750 was very memorable, it had a great engine but stopped like crap, handled poorly and was like sitting on 2x4. It did get awesome gas mileage and took a savage beating without complaint.

Ever since I was about 12, I would always read my father's motorcycle magazines. He was always a big Yamaha guy although he was a factory trained Harley mechanic from the early 80's. He had an RZ350 and even an RD500 imported from Europe, he loved the 2 strokes. But ever since I can remember reading his bike mags, I have always been in love with the Suzuki GS500E. So low and behold how surprised I was when I happened to find a 1992 on craigslist locally for $800 in good running condition when I happened to have the money!

So I scooped it up as my first bike, took the MSF course and got my license. I only rode it a bit before I put it in the shop and found a 2003 Kawasaki ZR7S for a good deal, so I bought that and rode it for a month. I remember hopping back on the GS500E and thinking how small it felt, like riding a scooter. But it was a fun little bike, flickable and although dated, I loved the aesthetic. Ahh, kinda regret selling it now....

I would like to get an early Harley Servi-Car. The 45 in flat head with it all stock. With the tow hitch.

Favorite non xs bike......thats a tough one.......for speed it was the R-100RS on the Autobahn, The M-66 Ural was cool in it way. R-69 solo or with the Ural's sidecar was one stable ride, like it was on rails. Either H-D big twin was a cool ride. The sound of those duel taper pipes hauling down the road mmmmmmm. Hey I was young then....That CB 350 hauled ass after 5k rpm....that CB77 305 Superhawk broke my motorcycle cherry for wrenching, for rideing was that CB-175....I think..The 850 Norton Commando..What can I say that hasn't been said a thousand times befor. Great bike..... They were all good rides...in their way..

my vote goes to the VMax - the most god awfully uncomfortable motorcycle my ass has ever graced but man was that a fun bike, felt like a freight train going down the road.
sold it almost five years ago and still miss the bike...

the vmax kind of covers both old and new, but i used to really enjoy riding my dad's honda 1978 cb900 custom around, pulled nice and had a nice comfortable riding position to it, had a neat dual speed transmission where you could select a high and low settin for each gear, knocked about 800 rpms off of fifth gear. the bike was sold some years back, kind of wish i would've bought it.
here's a pic of one that looks pretty similar
