What's Your Favorite "Non XS"

My 02' Warrior. It is by no means stock. Even though it has 9 less cubes than the Raider it is a quicker bike, I have ridden both. Will still stomp most all cruisers on the road for much less $. You can find them used for between $4000 & $5000 with low mileage. Worth the money & a fun bike to ride!
This is the only resized pic I have of it. It does not have the full seat on it, but you get the idea.

My 2004 999. It's terrible comfort wise, but man is it an animal in corners.

Daily rider... my KLR650, but it's just to underpowered for my long haul stuff. So hopfully a new Versys in the next month.

I'd love to have an old "updated" 2 smoker like this!!! BALLS!!

Pretty sure I have seen this bike in person at the Rockerbox show in Milwaukee in 09. Beautiful bike btw!

Not sure I could pick a favorite too many to choose from and too many different styles of bikes there is no one that can do it all for me. Current bikes are, cruiser is a 02 Warrior, Hooligan bike is a 09 Buell 1125CR, current cafe bike (in progress) 72 CL350, vintage track bike 73 CL350, my future cafe build 70 Yamaha R5, cafe/brat build 75 CB750, recent track bike (sold) fully built Vesrah GSXR600, bobber is 81 XS650, scoot/pit bike 05 Zuma

I would like a old Triumph bobber, a Street Glide, current sportbike would be a new R1 and I really have a thing for old board track bikes.

My "if you can have only one bike" is my 96 BMW R110RS. It isn't great at anything but it is my favorite bike of the 40 or so that I have had. I turned 90,000 miles on it this week, it has cost little in repair or maintenance, it is utilitarian and fast enough to be fun with good brakes and handles well for a heavy weight. If your cage was a bike it might be a beemer.

Thanks Wurkenman. To my mind Nortons are/were one of the nicest looking bikes ever, the cast aluminum pieces are amazing. But they were behind the times.....71s never had an oil filter, turn signals, a kill switch or electric start. Everyone knows about Lucas electrics, gears were on the wrong side and backwards. The Japanese got it right, the Brits went out of business and BMW are still trying to figure the switches out!!

CDNTX650.....I agree, they sound awesome. I think they're the most iconic bike ever produced, not necessarily the best. I love the four individual pipes but they're pricey if they have to be replaced.

Could be an old or a new machine. WTH list one of each....

I like the new BMW 1000rr for a crotch rocket. The KTM RC8 is choice also.

For an old school ride I think I would like an old BSA Lightening or a Harley KR (pre sportster factory racer).

I was considering buying a KR engine and K frame over the winter for cheap ($1,500). But just a front end to make it a roller would have been another $1,500 and to finish the rest of it off? Wooo that woulda been costly. Cool bikes though, probably one of my fav Harleys. (I never warmed up to the AMF years or later.)

well . I love the Z-1s !! Had a '74 that I loved for a long time. Then I built this '93 Vulcan, I call the Fairlane Vulcan. So much custom work here you don't notice all of it.

It was a great cruiser, but sold it to build my XS650 Brit bike.

Now I'm building an early Sportster. I bought a '59, but like the looks of the first year, '57, better so thats what it will look like.

While on paper the NCR bike is very very very nice and all the lovely titanium bits...but appeal wise it does nothing for me.

I like naked bikes and I like full faired bikes. Maybe if it had some lower fairings where the exhaust starts going towards the back it would do it for me.
