Motorcycle transporter - Only good ones you have used

+1 on Haulbikes. Shipped about 12 bikes to Milwaukee and back for a show last year. Great people to work with. Showed up on time and packed everything extremely well.

    Mufflers to go with Pandemonium?

Most of the lower cost muffler like these use a louver core as they are less expensive. Usually the cores are 18g and the outer bodies are 18g or 16g. Packing is usually poor quality fiberglass fill that breaks down. When it does break down the mufflers will begin to sound hollow. Especially...

    Mufflers to go with Pandemonium?

You're welcome! I think the XS sounds pretty similar to the modern Triumph, maybe not quite as bass-y. Here's a link to several videos from that platform: http://www.coneeng.com/product_videos.html

    Mufflers to go with Pandemonium?

Because there is more volume inside the muffler they tend to have a deeper tone than the same length cone/reverse cone muffler would have. I think they sound more like the 18" long muffler than they do the 12". As far as how they would compare to a glass pack style muffler that is a little...

    Mufflers to go with Pandemonium?

We just finished up some new mufflers that are semi-cylindrical for those that don't want the cone/reverse cone look. Not on the website yet (should be there in the next week or so) but in the meantime give a call.

    Street Tracker in works!

And I wanted to mention the Golden Tyre performance. I had heard rumors that they were not well balanced, I have not found that to be the case at all. I have not balanced tires or wheels and I don't find that there are any issues at all. Nice sticky tires too, I can really bite down hard...

Forgot to show off the new gas cap I made! Sure looks better than the stock black plastic cap.

    Show me the tanks!

A lot depends on the style bike you're building. Mine is an aluminum DT/YZ.

    Street Tracker in works!

The pic above showed the sheared aluminum tag mount. Pulled it back together and welded the tear. Made a new turn signal mount from 16g aluminum and welded that to the back side to add strength. I think the titanium one was way too light and its vibration helped lead to cracking of the whole...

    Street Tracker in works!

Vibration can be brutal! Looks like I need to do a little redesign on the tag holder and turn bracket.

    Street Tracker in works!

By the way, I did get the shifter adjustment solved. Generous loctite on the on the eccentric bolt, let it dry well before trying the shifter did the trick. I made a wrench to fit by griding off most of a crows foot and using a t-handle. I had thought about putting a star washer behind the...

    Street Tracker in works!

Seems like I haven't had much chance to work on all the little bugs that seem to linger/crop up. Maybe it's because each time I fix one I find two more? The clutch still slips like crazy but I am going to break in the motor, roach the clutch and replace it on the oil change in 50-100...

How to tighten shift arm lock nut

Have the clutch pack out and everything, it's the drive shaft to the clutch that seems to be in the way of getting a wrench with leverage and the springs for the clutch arm that requires a wrench that is thin. Might look to see if I can grind down a crows foot. I'm down with everything you...

How to tighten shift arm lock nut

The lock nut on my shift arm eccentric screw keeps working loose. The engine is all back together so try as I might, I can't get a wrench in there without it hitting in 10 places and no room to tighten! I'm at a point now where I don't see a lot of options. I can pull the shift shaft out so...

    Street Tracker in works!

Decided to dig in the starter adjustment today. Not a easy as it looked in the book. After pulling of the side cover and the clutch I found the roller bearing washer had been crooked and got smashed. Ordering that up allowed me to order a clutch holder at same time. That will be better than...
