I have a 79 with the thumb choke lever on the left side. The bike starts fine WITHOUT the choke if you give it a little gas. It starts ok if you give it just a little choke. It won't start with the choke on full and if its running, turning the choke on all the way will kill it. Any ideas?

Have installed pods and went up to 142.5 main jets and up one size on pilot jets. The bike runs a lot better but there is a small lag when you first pop the throttle then it takes off.
