if you want to run forward controls check out g&l choppers. they are the best looking controls for the price imo. i am running them on my bike and i love them.

i know that aluminum takes a pretty high heat but if the wire is melting before it actually "welds" it sounds like your wire speed is too slow for the volts. just a thought before you go spend more money on a new liner or anything else.

do you have a fuel filter? is it dirty? the leaning thing is weird though.

when i bought my bike it had a nevada title and it said the same thing...i havent registered it in ca yet so im not sure if it will still be the case
