thanks Leo, I think I have it figured out but the green wire coming off the new wire, is that a ground? i hooked it all up but keep blowing my main fuse for some reason

I just got done putting in a new reg/rect from mikes xs on my 73 xs650 all went well untill i had to disconnect the yellow and two brown running from the stock rectifier. with the new piece these wires seem to have no place to go. I believe they power the tail and head light. also the red wire...

Dime city cycles has a really sweet leather wrapped seat for sale on there site. the back has a nice upsweep which looks like it might fit the stock frame on my 74 xs. anyone ever use this seat before...
