    Cleaning stand

I've done some scary lifting and maintenance on bikes with and without center stands before with two small floor jacks. Tire changes, sprocket changes and brake changes etc., even on other peoples bikes. I've even had both wheels and forks off before using these two floor jacks. Luckily I've...

My first foray into not just one but two 1975 RD350's

Had one. I remember the Clymer manual for these, it was the best they ever wrote. They really loved those 350s.

    Garage Clean and Rearrange

You guys brought it up, I was thinking about it, but here it is. MONTHLY PAYMENTS, I have none, other than utilities, phone and internet I owe no one. When I'm gone there will be none of that legal estate BS. I don't even pay for garbage pick up, not that I hoard garbage, it's all taken care of...

    Garage Clean and Rearrange

Why worry about what happens to your stuff when you're dead? It won't be my problem, I'll be dead. Put it out to the curb, I won't care, I'll be dead. Give it to my brother-in-law, he can use my precision tools for hammers, I won't care, I'll be dead.

    Garage Clean and Rearrange

I have a one car garage and a two car garage and a hot tub/wood burner building. I hoard everything, bikes and parts, building supplies, electrical supplies, scrap metal within my reason, tools galore and lots of etc. I'm always finding use for stuff that others would throw away. I'm a happy guy.

    Chicken Lips ! Scored !

Came out of a gas station once to see a guy oogling over the right side cover on my Honda, the rare hard to find one. He told me that a friend of his was looking for the same cover in the same paint scheme, and how badly he needed one. Well, made me think about how many of these lost side covers...

    Horn

Maybe Mazda or Nisson, not sure. I just used the brackets that were on them, they were just like the ones on my Hondas. If they blow a fuse or heat up my horn switch I'll install a relay. Should be okay using just one horn.

    Horn

I got a bunch of horns from a salvage yard from import cars, 4 for $5. There are two connection type and one connection type. I got the two connection type. I think these were Denso. After blasting and painting they were much better than any aftermarket horns that I've ever bought before.

Lubricant to use on Speedo and tach cables

I use gear oil. I make a funnel from a plastic bag and tape it to the end of the cable. Then I hang the cable and funnel from whatever, fill the funnel with some gear oil and wait until the gear oil seeps out of the bottom of the cable. I do my other cables like this too.

I'm not buying it. Glass fuses, they've been..........you know. Besides, the only fuse I've ever blown on a bike is one of those Honda 30 amp dog bones and that was because of age and corrosion. I buy the quality blade fuses not the cheap soft vinyl ones.

    Memory Lane

I did this on 2 Honda's with limited space and crummy glass fuses. Those are Walmart female blade connectors with the insulators carved off, crimped and soldered, covered with shrink tube. A tidy sub harness that plugs into the main harness. The glass fuses did not fair well in that area with...
