    We'll no decompression arm tappet cover but e-start. Wish it was 447, new cylinder piston kit would be easy. It has the roller type cam tensioner on it. I have an 80 G model and want to use the head on the TX for the 80 G.

    I have done the pemco/PMA swap on my 80 Xs. When I first started with the Pma wired to my jeep batt I got 13.2 at idle, and 14.4 at 3000. I put a brand new fully charged batt in the bike and wired in the Pma ( red to pos of batt and green to neg of batt). Now I don't show 13.2 at idle it shows...

    Thanks for getting back to me Leo. I think I have triple checked all wires and connections a dozen times. I did leave the meter attached to the green wire at the coil and no drop from the 12.8v when I spun the adapter to spin the magnets past the transistor. I do see why Pete's a busy guy.

    Yes power to red wire to the e-advance connected to red wire to coil. No manual test yet. That's tonight after work. I have 12.8 volts to bothe green and the red on the coil

    I'm not getting power to the red wire on the sensor after the e-advance. Brand new bat full charge, not connected to the new Pma. Full kit from mikes on a 1980 xs650 simple wire with inline fuses 14 gauge wire. Any ideas?

    Odd question if u get the complete system PMA/ Pemco + e-advance other than lights u shouldn't need a wire harness inline fuses ( sorry for the noob que)
