Bangs out at full throttle/high RPM

Thanks guys,I know there is a TON of info on this....read until my head hurts! I suppose main jets are a good place to start. It seems a little weird that it acts like this. Got the recommended jets and needles from 650 Central. Bike was totally unrideable using their super-duper needles. Went...

Bangs out at full throttle/high RPM

Plugs look rich-2000miles on motor-151 psi in both jugs-carbs just professionally rebuilt. starts first kick, perfect idle-loads of torque and excellent throttle response. At high RPM (guess around 6K-no tach) bangs out-severe missing-I back of throttle a fair amount and it takes off--Big Time...

    Steering Head Bearing adjustment PROBLEM--

Thanks Leo. Been riding 50 years. Worked in bike shops too. I have the bearings so snug now that the bike is tricky to ride. When I grab a handful of front brake (with my left hand at the top of the steering head I can feel (and see) movement fore and aft.

    Steering Head Bearing adjustment PROBLEM--

Bike was parked with only 2K miles on it. Made it into a stripped down little street bike. I know,I know,I should have done the tapered bearing bit but I am waaaay over budget and the bike only has 2k on it. Front end was smooth and snug when I took it completely apart. Carefully assembled...
