    Strange Shudder/Knocking?

So I was finally able to fix my clutch issue with the assistance of all the exceedingly helpful forum members. Once this was fixed I began riding, and i've noticed a quirk of sorts, and I can't seem to pinpoint it precisely. Description of my bike is in my signature, now here is the sound and...

    Gets Worse as it runs.

Gary, I apologize I thought I had made that clear. They are BS38's, that came with the XS650B in 1975. I rebuilt them but not with a kit, I had hear kits had wrong components so I purchased new gaskets individually, and purchased a wide variety of each jet (pilot and main). Everything that I...

    Gets Worse as it runs.

Thanks for the needle explanation, I didn't realize there was a numbering sequence. I'm on the number 4 slot, also the carbs are BS38's, correct carbs for the year.

    Gets Worse as it runs.

So, with the help of TwoMany and RG I was able to fix my clutch issue, a 3mm valve shim on the push rod and new clutch discs resulted in a very functional clutch. However, this allowed me to finally get a little bit of riding in. This revealed a new problem, as it runs for a bit the idle begins...

Bike Runs Great, Unless You Need to Shift or Clutch In

1975 XS 650B, left side doesn't bulge, the rod is straight and the ends seem pretty square. Right side off things appear to move as they should (of course my experience is limited since this was my first build), its the one piece rod. As far as hot or cold, its about the same honestly. Bike off...

Bike Runs Great, Unless You Need to Shift or Clutch In

So, I've had my bike tuned and running awesome for about a month. I actually work at a bike dealership (which actually means I have almost no time for my own bikes). It runs fantastic on the dyno and off, unless of course you need to stop. I cannot hit neutral and I cannot get the damn clutch to...

    Final Product

The Triple Tree is Actually From an 83 Virago, It happened to have the exact dimensions of the XS Triple Stem, while having 38mm Fork holes. The forks are from an 85 Kawi, The Brakes on the front are from an 07 Husqvarna 610 and the bracket to hold it is one I custom fabricated. I've been...

    Pandemonium Cycles

I Know this may not belong in the garage, but I wanted to mention how fantastic Dan, and Pandemonium Cycles is. I had some issues getting my Ya-Mama exhaust after ordering as a result of people being out of the office, and after getting in contact with Dan he went above and beyond to accommodate...
