well it start with the choke the first time then i can shut the choke off and the bike will run fine. its then a few mins later where i will give it gas, then the idle wont come back down? and the throttle able is adjusted fine and does not stay open. then i get nervous and shut the bike off...

That sounds good to me, but the convo above is saying that if I don't paint the headers rust will take over? If I'm understanding it. And other people iv read that say you have to pain the outside of the wrap? I'm just trying to make the best decision. Thank you

im interested in wrapping the exhaust on my XS650 stock bike. how do i go about painting the headers? do i have to sand them, then paint with the Hi-heat silicone paint? or can i just spray it on as is? Or will i need to prime? i have the intension to wrap after painted to help fight the rust...

Thanks for the info. Once i wrap it and cook it on with the black paint. if i wanted to take it off is it easy? or once its on it on kinda thing? out of curiosity, according to the pic you posted.. how hot would a normal exhaust on these bikes get vs how how a wrapped one?

Is there a risk of engine damage? i don't want to risk any engine failure or anything. simply just the look. i have stock air box on as of now but will want to get a better air filter soon.
