Hello, Im rewiring my bobber which was an stock 82 special All the wiring diagrams I have found shows 6 wires for the tci. I have an extra black and white wire. What should I do. Thanks

Sounds like a similar problem I had on my 82 chopper. When you turn the ignition on and try to start it, does the coil get hot to the touch? Mine did and it wound up to be a bad TCI box

So been driving my 82 chopper build for a couple weeks or so and everything was good. All of a sudden I started blowing main fuses usually after it warms up a bit. Sometimes when I turn the ignition on. Been measuring voltage at the battery and has been normal. 12.8 at idel then jumps to 14.5 at...

Check out the TC Brothers chopper/bobber harness. I use it and really like it. It will get the bike running and charging and the lighting etc... is up to you.

Finally had a good ride this weekend after fixing the electrcal problem. 72 and Sunny in SC. Will be heading to Myrtle Beach Bike week in early May. About 50 miles east from me. Hope she's ready.

Update.... Recieved my TCI in the mail yesterday (thanks Justincycles) and it worked!!!! Fired right up and got 14.5 volts at 3k rpm's First, thanks to all of you that helped along the way and hung in there with me. Big thanks to GGGary for taking my texts and phone calls etc... and did not get...

Update. Replaced the pickup coil and still no spark. Have a TCI coming next week and will try it.

Just want to be sure. When Im testing I do not have the ignition coil mounted to the frame. Is this ok?
