    Let's See The XS's

The copper ends to my exhaust will be bolted to the pipes so won't need to be welding anything. I'm gonna go with my gut and keep em on. The bikes out here are awesome and this experience of building my bike has been both frustrating and rewarding. I've always been a motorhead and have always...

    Let's See The XS's

Most everything copper is copper... some parts are copper powder coated or painted with copper paint. Yeah I know heating copper is not good... not even sure if I will keep the ends there. Figured I would be riding fast enough not to inhale any fumes. I made the copper battery/electronics box...

    Let's See The XS's

Thanks Bill. This is my first build and i've really enjoyed the process. I can polish the copper with La Hot Sauce or let it sit and it will give it the patina you see. This is kinda like having two bikes. Again, thanks for the compliment.

Make Offer - Seat, Tank and side panels 1975 XS

Yes I do J. I can't find the key anywhere. The tank was clean inside and I actually rode the bike a while before turning it into a bobber. The graphics are there but it looks like gas was spilled on it and some have come off so it will have to be repainted.

    Points "breaker" cover housing gap

Camshaft seems to be fine because the gap is on both sides. Don't know if the gasket that came from Mikes is too thin or what. The breaker "Cups" on both sides seem to be metal on metal.

After tearing the engine down and cleaning everything up I am now putting everything back together. On the right and left side of the heads where the Points were located I have cleaned up the old gaskets and now am reinstalling the breaker cover housing that contain everything. I have new o...

Internal throttle and clutch... who's done it?

Hey... I am putting internal throttle and clutch on mine. Go to a high end bike store and get the two into one cable for stunt bikes for the throttle... perfect fit and all you have to do is make terminators for the carb end. Making my own clutch cable but so far everything is coming together...

Well here is my bike. All I have left to do is sort out the electrics and upgrade my front brakes. My divorce sure put a damper in the project but hopefully soon she will be on the road. A ton of copper and brass. You can see more of the bike on http://www.rodemyyamaha.com
