Retro, the motor I have is in a four wheeler frame so lights and horn are not needed. The wires are the exact same on your bike and everything, but there's no blueprint for this kind of swap and that's why every diagram I look at tends to be confusing. Retro, I hadn't thought about it but I'm glad you brought it up. I will definitely be installing those fuses. Better to replace a 50 cent fuse than a 70 dollar coil. Do I need a connection from the battery to the Pamco? Also what gauge wire should each fuse have?

Can anyone tell me if this is an accurate wiring diagram. I drew this exactly how I have my PAMCO on my 82 wired. Its kick only, no PMA. I didn't give it a kick because I need new plugs and battery. Just looking for some help Black wire is connected to bottom coil terminal, not the top one...

In need of a PAMCO Ignition system for my 82' xs650. Need the complete Basic or Ultimate, it doesn't really matter. Seeing if there are any on here before I order from Mikes.

Judging by the first three pictures can you verify this is an 82 motor? The first pic is of the left side if your sitting on the bike and second pic (blurry) is the right side of the bike. Is this stator compatible with the PAMCO? Just want to make sure. Looking at the pic of the bar switch...

Here are some pictures of my raptor the conversion. The first two were the day after the wires burned up. Don't mind the lawnmower tires or tow rope, needed those to move it around :laugh:. The third pic shows it's condition today. A little rough but will soon be back to normal.

Does it make a difference, as far as parts I need, that I planned on making it a kick start only? Or do I need to buy a bar switch assembly as well so I have a kill switch to shut the motor off. All the diagrams I found were from 81 or earlier. The motor I have is from 82. I looked at the wires on mine and they all seem to be there, I just have no idea where to connect them to and what ones I don't need. This is a friggen headache
