My bike will run for about 8 miles at normal speed then die like it is not getting fuel. Wait a couple minutes will start and run for a few minutes then die again. Any ideas?

Hello, I have cleaned my carbs often lately due to rusty tank that i have now fixed. The issue that I am having is this: after running for about 10 minutes the engine tends to rev high. I check the throttle to make sure it isn't sticking and that is not the issue. any thoughts?
