The last one, the branding iron i presume..., is, of course, Zündapp! I had one when I was 16, a 1974 CS 50. It was my first motorized vehice in 1989, a 50cc 2-stroke! Like this one....

    Valve Guide Reamer Recommendation

After installing your new guides, I am pretty sure they require reaming. Like jd750ace already mentioned, do it by hand with a tap handle. You have more feel that way. It's pretty easy. And indeed, dont turn your reamer backwards!

    Ugly bikes!!!!!!

A rat bike is great for an everyday rider. People dont steal these when you park it in front of the pub and leave it there overnight when you end up drunk:D And who the f#%@ is Harley Davidson

Suddenly died while riding...kinda funny story...kinda.

:D Great story! Are your filters still soaked with gas? If so, then your mixture is way too rich. I've been there, had a cracked inline filter leaking over my airfilter. It was very hard to start.

    Rejetting for higher altitude?

Thanks everyone! I think I will take some smaller jets with me, just to be shure.

    Can anyone ID this shock?

I'm pretty shure it isn't a Koni. I've always used Konis on my bikes (where made in the Netherlands :D ) and this is what they look like.

    Rejetting for higher altitude?

Thanks Leo! I was worried that the mixture would become waaaay to rich at those higher altitudes. Where I live its flat as a pancake. I havent got any experience with riding in the mountains.

    Rejetting for higher altitude?

I'm planning a trip to the French and Italian alps for this summer. Has anybody of you got experience in riding an XS from sea level to an altitude up around 9000ft? Should I take some leaner main jets with me?
