I am in Reno and am trying to sell my 71 xs650 asking 2000$ or best. Needs battery and tune up but was running when I had to park it in 2012.

When you put your new AWESOME pamco (awesome because I put one in my 81 and it rules) did you get the kit with the new coils and what not or did you just put in the pamco and BAM, running with no problem!? Oh yeah I have a 71 I am working on, reason for the question. Thanks.

Have you checked all your wires from your coils, and the ignition key switch to make sure your not getting any shorts? I didnt read all posts so sorry if i am way off here! As far as the kick back every now and then, in my experience with both of mine they just do that sometimes. Hope you get it...

I would do the wire shaking test before removing anything! My light was doing the same, it was do to a loose spring in my inline fuse holder. Swapping it out for a inline blade fuse holder! just my two cents, but remember anytime you remove anything on an XS you might just be sabotaging your...
