Denis,
Do you have any pics of the battery setup you have, or the battery itself you run. Maybe i'm mistaken but I thought you ran a really small battery
Cheers,
Mark
Hey Teebs, I look forward to pictures of the brake stay you make. That might be the easiest route. Keep me posted please if you don't mind.
Later, Mark
Well I want a front drum for two of the three reasons Teebs laid out. It looks way better and its cleaner. I reconstruct traffic collisions for a living, and I know how much greater breaker efficiency you get from having a front brake over a rear...and the combination of the two is that much...
Hey Ebola Monkey,
Well I have the brake cable and all the other applicable cables that came with the wheel when I bought it. I was hoping to just keep the hub and lace it to a 21" front wheel. As far as the speedo and all that stuff...i'm not running one. Which front rim did you use on your...
Hello all,
I just bought a pretty nice xs400 front wheel with drum brake, and was hoping to mate it to my xs650. I imagine the price was relatively cheap, cause my hopes for throwing it on the bike aren't going to go as easy as I had hoped...is it? Any help would be greatly greatly...
Hi Guys,
Do either one of you have pics of your setup? Rusty I saw the engine mounted to the engine stand in your build thread (nice job on your bike BTW) but no specific pics of the threaded rod setup you're talking about. If you have any pics I would greatly appreciate it...or even a...
I know a few people have modified car engine stands to hold the xs650 motors. Does anyone have any good pics or drawings of the brackets that they made to modify the car stand? Preferably non welded brackets seeing as I have yet learned that skill.
Thanks, Mark
Thanks for the in-depth responses guys. I have to replace my crankshaft oil seal, so i'm highly debating doing this mod while I already have everything apart.
Thanks BigJimmy,
And you need a three phase stator correct? In laymans terms whats the difference between a single phase and three phase...as in advantages for this application. Take care, Mark
I noticed most everybody here is using the banshee flywheel, but a different stator assembly. Why is that? Does the MrRiggs adaptor plate accept the banshee stator? I didn't see it in the list, but thought I would ask anways. Thanks, Mark
INXS, is that correct, you just hook the positive end to the positive end of the capacitor, and then run a negative off the capacitor and ground it on the frame?
Do any of you guys have actual pictures of the capacitor wiring on your own bikes. I'm an electrical noob, and understand the wiring diagram but get lost at the capacitor part. Thanks, Mark
Does anyone know where to get a high tunnel wassel tank like the one on this bike? or something relatively similar. I really like that look. Thanks, Mark
Do you have to unground the stator still when you're running an electronic ignition system like a PAMCO? INXS do you have a specific thread on your batteryless system? That sounds pretty interesting
