    any Goldwingers in here

My '77 RatWing. I didn't plan on making it a project. Thought I could just get it running and maybe make a few bucks. Ended up putting way too many man hours in it, so I decided to keep it for myself and go in a completely different direction. One of those "in for a penny, in for a pound" kind...

Make Offer - 1973 TX750 parts no title WI

Deal! I'm using a TX750 swing arm and forks on my cafe build. Right now I'm planning on using a drag bar that is very close to the flat bar Norton, and others, used on their home market bikes. But I might decide to go with clip ons and machine off the bar mounts. If so, it would be...

Is there a best overhaul gasket set?

Yeah, the head gasket thickness is what caught my attention. 5twins, you're probably right in that, it's not something easily noticed on the seat of the pants dyno. On the other hand....I'd rather not purposely lower the compression. Thanks for the replies!

Is there a best overhaul gasket set?

I'll be starting the engine reassembly on my '74 in the not too distant future and need to order a gasket set, and seals. I'm thinking I'll get the Vesrah set, and the oil seal set from 650 Central, but thought I'd ask if anyone had any specific recommendations.

    mikexs still sucks

I ordered a rim for my '74 from them last week, on the evening of the 19th. I got an immediate email confirmation of my order. The next day I received an emailed pdf sales receipt from Mikes and an email from UPS saying they'd been notified of the package for pick up. Rim came today - right on time.

Welding a new Bung with screw off cap to xs750 tank?

That would be a whole lot of bondo! If you're going to the trouble to have a bung welded in, have some new metal welded in as well.

    TX650A rims clear coated?

It's time to drag the wheels for my TX650A out of the garage attic and start cleaning them up. These are aluminum spoke rims. Are they clear coated, or just bare aluminum. If they're cleared I'll get some aircraft stripped before I even get started. Thanks.

    Name these head pipes

Actually I messaged them through their Facebook page and asked about the pipes. Got a quick reply, and they are, indeed. a custom set. They said they could have a set made for me, but didn't say the price. As far as the bike as a whole - I don't feel deprived it's not sitting in my garage...

lets see some custom motorcycle work stands

Tank mounts have been altered for an XS750 tank. The Vega's one I put a V-8 in years ago. it's the worlds oldest project.
