Out of curiosity,I went out and measured the narrow glide frontend on the Shovelhead. Mine is 6 1/2 center to center. With 35mm forks. I can see a pretty good difference Side by side. But your right most people wouldn't notice the change.

I use the HF system and was surprised how well it worked. As angus67 said "shit goes everywhere". So I plan to make a small both for powder coating.

With novelty helmets the foam is thinner then DOT versions. So in reality there not as safe in a crash. Biggest reason people don't like the DOT helmets is the mushroom head look you get.

Lowes sells a wall mounted compressor that has two extra tanks you can add. I don't see where it would be a problem adding one to yours. Maybe a old freon or propane cylinder would do???
