Wanted - Looking for XS650 standard, TX or southern US

I sold my 79 Standard a few years ago and really miss it. Putting some feelers out to see what's out there. Ideally looking for something in TX or southern US, not opposed to shipping. Looking for a runner, would consider projects. No bobbers, brats, cafes, etc. Looking for stock bike. Thanks!

    For Sale - 1979 XS650 Standard, Austin TX $2900

Up for sale is my 1979 Yamaha XS650 Standard. Last year for this model and the best of the bunch. I sadly no longer have the time or passion for keeping a vintage motorcycle. For those that saw my earlier post, carbs have been completely disassembled and cleaned. New pics are at the bottom of...

    Rear drum bearing spacer length?

Been a long day, didn't really put that together. Thank you, ID was 17mm, so it's a front.

    Rear drum bearing spacer length?

Does anyone have a bearing spacer tube (not the top hat) for a spoked rear drum hub they can measure for me? I've got one on my workbench but can't remember if it's a front or rear spacer. Thanks!

    HHB PMA installation experience

Just got my PMA from Hugh's installed and thought I'd post my experience, mostly for future reference if anyone needs the help. My bike is a 79 with the mostly stock wiring harness (although a bit of a rats nest at this point, hopefully to be rewired in the future) with a Pamco ignition and...

HHB PMA: Where did you mount your regulator?

Just finished my installation, ended up making a little aluminum bracket with some stand off/spacer deals to clear the bolt coming down from the battery box. Ended up looking real neat and tidy, cant even see it unless you're looking from below eye level. All the wiring was able to be snaked...

HHB PMA: Where did you mount your regulator?

Thanks for the replies. Lakeview, that's pretty much what I had in mind, kind of the only place that really make sense on my bike. Assuming that the stock location under the side covers would be too hot?

HHB PMA: Where did you mount your regulator?

Hello, just getting my ducks in row before I start on my PMA installation. Not sure exactly where to mount my new regulator, was thinking either on the plastic mudguard part of the rear fender, or maybe making a bracket and having it under the battery box where the old rectifier was. Does...

    Weird signal issue

Take your housing apart and make sure the wires are still soldered. All three of mine had come loose and I had the same kind of issues that you did. Surprised that it worked at all once I saw the inside of the control housing.
