    Ha gotcha. I'm working on my buddy's 1973 honda CL350. all the wires were cut out of the handlebars. cant find a diagram anywhere. I know it's not a XS.:doh: and know some of u guy's have other bikes as well. Please dont kick me:bike:

    If I was going to do the cafe route I would of made the correct changes to use the shock correctly.(or for it's full potential). Since I went the bobberish look, the fact that it sits on a bumpstop and really does not use the shock(it's just for looks) is ok with me. If I did it all over again...

    Hey guys don't forget about the rest of your system and assume it's the rotor. Not saying it isn't. I had all the same symptoms as u guys. Fighting it for 2 weeks. Had the alt checked. It ended up being a bad ground to the voltage reg. Simple and cheap. Hopes it's the same for u guys

    Did some internal cleaning, lubed and adjusted the switch. It seemed to help. I need to take it out at nite to be sure. volt meter sounds like a good idea

    It is the R6 bottom bracket on the top ans used the top for the bottom. It's a little weak and have a bump stop to hold my 165# ass up. It need a stiffer spring. I even made a 3/4" spacer under the spring. Helped some. I'll give more pics if u want

    It works. works fine sitting still at idle or w/ keyswitch on/motor off

    The rear brake switch works fine when at idle. when riding it brighten's up and stays that way. Could I have to many volts to it when rev'd?13-14.v. I guess it's the switch, since it's over 30yrs old.:shrug:
