Ha gotcha. I'm working on my buddy's 1973 honda CL350. all the wires were cut out of the handlebars. cant find a diagram anywhere. I know it's not a XS.:doh: and know some of u guy's have other bikes as well. Please dont kick me:bike:

The rear brake switch works fine when at idle. when riding it brighten's up and stays that way. Could I have to many volts to it when rev'd?13-14.v. I guess it's the switch, since it's over 30yrs old.:shrug:

Was riding it around yesterday for about 10min and the bike just die's. I kick it over and get about 20ft. and it dies again. Start pushing it home and said screw this turned the headlight off and I make it home. What's going on. will a relay help. '77 xs650 kick only radio shack rec...

just got the bike together and trying to get it tuned in. It kicks over in the first couple of tries. It idles wierd. It rev's up and then stays there for a few sec. checked cable it's good. got the timing right. then it cuts off. kinda of puffs out of carb. it'll kick over a few more...

Will all/most reg/rect. work on a '77 XS650? can't find any solid info.

My father-in-law gave me a '77 XS650. WOW! He said he would like to see it back all original. OOP's I ripped it apart as soon as I got it home. Being my first bike I was a little sketchy but no chickenshit. here's some pics
