    I just bought the gear and the clip and it worked out great. Some of the long time gurus here have simply re bent tbe spring on their vice. I originaly re bent the spring but it still slipped.

    Yes Willis it is. I was surprised to see the red diamond stitching when it arrived, and wasn't sure that I liked it. It has since grown on me, but if the bike was not black I probably wouldn't like it. I just forgot to specify what type of stitching and style when I ordered it on their website...

    Picked up this '80 xs several years ago from a guy who had it as a parts bike that was supplying parts to one that he was restoring.     The seat and pad used to be the king/queen highback seat that I carved up and recovered and mounted. It still retains one of the stock hinges. The rest is just shaped and painted sheetmetal.

The 2 bearings were in the box with the pistons and I could not figure out where they came from. Garys answer gave me a clue that they must be for the choke rod. I...
