Hi all.........Question: I want to remove the idiot light cluster ( brake, signal and headlight warning lights) I can hack the bracket easy enough but what to do with the wires that go to those lights? Help appreciated!

A question about those little felt pads that brush against the cam lobe that opens and closes the points. The ones on my bike do not touch the cam lobe. I guess they should. Are they adjustable? Do I need new ones? Is there a source to buy them? Thanks in advance.
