Wow guys. My bad. Familial drama has had me distracted for a long while. Build is going great!
Got everything powder coated, went with flat black on the frame and swingarm and jockey blue over chrome on the tins. Turned out slick. Took it for a ride a few weeks back just to burn in the rings...
The main jet will always be the one over the needle/under the needle ,except down draft carbs(newer supersport stuff). Idle will be the other one in the bowl.
Air jets are another thing.put em back where you found them and 99/100 time you dont have to change em .
You will need to go up in...
the spring and bbs go in from the top where the choke rod goes through. the are what hold the choke out.
as far as jetting, ill let the carb guru do his thing on that one. tech by trade but each bike has their own ways.
Jetting should get you goin. 22 degrees,That makes for a long warm up. I'd say something about how great the south is with the mild winters and all...but its 20 degrees and snow on the ground
I get in trouble when i grab my girls hair drier lmao. maybe i should just go buy one.
how cold was it when you ran it?
What ignition? Might have something going on spark wise too. just a thought, jetting/carb clean first though
Soak them in hot(out of the tap) soapy water and try to pull the bowls. If they used something like yamabond or silicoln it may loosen it up enough to get em apart. just make sure you blow em out really well asap.
Great batteries. Just make sure to keep it above 30% or the cells melt down and its dead, warranted voided...3 batteries later I've learned my lesson
The special charger helps
Progress!
My shop is a mess!
Gotta find the sealing washers for the head. Gonna call my suzuki guy and check out the p# I've seen on here. Are they the same thickness or do I need to double up
Back on topic.
What switches ,relays, so on do you have.
plan on running on the bar or somewhere else,7/8 or 1" bars?
I always liked these, they mount nice on bars or anywhere else flat or about 1" diameter

That info came from a few of Hughs old pma write ups
As far as I could grasp its like start up amps vs running amps for any brush motor.
My bad for the misinformation
Either way pma is the way to go:thumbsup:

Its an alternator system. Key off there is no power to the feild coil.
As long as your reg rec is good its a one way street out of the box
You dont have to run the kill switch..
but say you get run off the road and your pinned under a bike, stuck on full throttle and cant reach the key...
