I need to buy a front axle and nut that is in usable shape for my '80 Special. I thought I would check to see if anyone wanted to get rid of one before I went to ebay or mikes.

I was curious if anyone knew the thread size on the front axle. My castle but looks like it has some torn up threads and I want to get a cheap nut just to test the threads on the axle to see if I need to replace it, the nut, or both.

The harley's don't bother me, but I like to see them up against other bikes. Bacon's bike (the winning bike) used a sportster motor, but in a way that would probably piss a lot of HD enthusiasts off. Personally, I liked the VLX better than either of the other two.
