Starter gear fix keeping bike off the road (Round 2!)

yeah, I'm wondering if it's not the tension on the starter gear clip (with the hairpin bend) that's the issue. but as @motormike says, it might be the round spring behind the gear not being strong enough to keep the starter gear engaged.

Starter gear fix keeping bike off the road (Round 2!)

Starter gear on this is a pita. We've replaced the starter gear and spring with new gear from MikesXS. We've also tensioned the spring on a vice as per other posts on this forum as well as located the spring according to the tech bulletin release from Yammy in the 70s but we're still getting the...

    Starter Gear Fix!

Hey team. I've had another crack at the starter motor. We've used a new spring and starter gear from MikesXS and put some additional tension into the spring. We're still getting this result. This isn't normal, right? Ideas? (click the link to see the short 9mb video)...

Hi Dave. What EBC rotor did you get? Is this the MD2023RS?

front rotor upgrade WITH correct offset.

ok I don't think the Brembo calliper and MikesXS disc are compatible. I'm going back to the stock disc and it's definitely much closer. Still a bit of tweaking to be done but I'll modify the calliper first as per Pandemonium instructions and check fit. I'd rather have the Brembo on it than...

Replacement front disc rotor thoughts - Offsets, dimensions, compatibility

Hi GeorgeOC. Did you work out a rotor upgrade solution for 35mm forks? I'm running brembo and pandemonium adaptor but can't find a rotor to work with it. HAve the MikesXS floating rotor but it needs a fair amount of spacer to make work and will push the rotor off the lip of the mags (unproven...

front rotor upgrade WITH correct offset.

I know there’s a long list of performance rotor upgrades that have the right diameter and center hole width but is there one that also has the right offset out of the box? I’m wanting to find one that works with brembo 4 pot caliper and adapter kit from pandemonium. Their kit has been designed...

    Feedback on Brembo 65mm calliper

Have searched the web but couldn't see if Brembo stamps part numbers on the calipers. Do you know if they do? If so I'll ask the seller for P/N and can confirm the spec.

    Feedback on Brembo 65mm calliper

I'm asking if there's any other differences between a 65mm gold and black callipers or if it's just cosmetic only.

    Feedback on Brembo 65mm calliper

Nutshell. I'm upgrading front brake. MikesXS drilled disc and 13mm Yammy MC Pandamonium brake kit Braided lines. The question I have is that I've got access to 2x Brembo callipers for a good price. 65mm which is the required bolt pattern. Now everyone on here has been talking about GOLD...

    Brembo gold caliper, which master?

Hey mate. I'm heading down a similar path at the moment. If you could write up what you did to make the brembo/pandemonium kit/mikes XS rotor work, would be appreciated...even a few bullet points to steer in the right direction might save me some mucking around.

Standard TCI ignition. Spark only on one cylinder

Currently not getting an spark on the left plug. Testing with a spark tester and right side has a nice and healthy spark but left side not getting any current at all. Faulty coil? Rotor magnet/TCI Pickup issue. Don't imagine it's a magnet/pickup issue as I'm getting a good spark on the left...

Indicators are on solid, not flashing.

Bang on. Thanks for the reply. Am now making good progress and need a bit more time to square away a good lighting solution. Enjoying the troubleshooting a heap. It's a great way to unwind and great when the solution is found.

Indicators are on solid, not flashing.

Sorry, not sure what Grandfathered means. Is this a sign of youth? ;) E-Marked is a standards marking that's quite common and says something like the optics in the lights meet certain standards. Here in NZ, our regs around bikes are quite tight and bikes require e-mark lights (although there...
