did your boss make an intake using a single or two piece mounting base?
if you weld up the intake and this is done NOT on a jig or old cyl head the base will either warp (single base unit) or be misaligned (two piece base units) from heat distortion. it sounds like to me that you have a vacuum...
yes I am still making the intakes. I build exhaust, hardtail frames, intakes, handle bars, forward controls kits, custom bikes, swingarm conversions, as well. www.joewiseguy.com or joewiseguy@live.com thanks.
yes i think you are correct. it should be 74 onto later years. i appologise for misreading the previous post i took it as a dis towards my product line. didnt mean to assault anyone. just mybad.
osteoderm your issue is that you were trying to install a brace made for the 75-84 swingarm onto the shorter and narrower 70-74 swingarm. why didnt you look at the ad on ebay prior to buying, or contact me prior or after the sale? for information purposes the early swingarms are much shorter...
i have sold several a couple hundred of these units in the past 14 years. i have extended and braced a few hundred more.....never had anyone with issues.... if someone here had issues with fitment etc why didnt you contact me? this thread was just brought to my attention to i figured i would...
speaking for myself, i am not interested in the 200 watt systems as long as richard page has the 130 watt units avialable. anything more then enough is just a waste, and in this case can cause heat buildup. i build bobbers, and use a capacitor instead of a battery so 130 is more then enough...
richard page at xs-charge now has 200 watt pma kits available at the same price. just an fyi for those that want the extra wattage. myself i will stay with the 130 watt kits as there is no real need to charge a system that only used a 130 watt charger stock.
this model has sold about 300 times. never had any issues with port and polish? you are not going to have fuel mix stumble on that ridge where the plenum meets the intake runner. the intake is pulling by vacuum and the mix will follow the pull of flow. polishing long intake ports does not...
hugh, did i read your post right? 2000 units sold? is that a typo? i figured you have been selling your new unit for about a year and that would mean about 6 units a day 7 days a week.
well said hugh. both systems offer something better then stock for all riders, and style bikes. congrats on your success in sales hugh.. i have heard very good things about you and your xs650 products.
the regulator is stock. i thought maybe an issue was there too. so i swapped out regulators, cdi box, and coil. no change. i figured what the hell? couldnt find the problem so i installed a kill switch on the bars and interrupted the coils so i could stop this beast. it is something that...
oops. tonyc that is correct ... for those that want to run resistant heated vests etc you will at least want to run a battery. i am so used to dealing with the minimullist riders, the bobber and tracker guys that dont want any extra on their bikes i forget about those that will use other assys...
well i couldnt find anything wrong with the harness.... untaped it completely and checked all trails. this unit doesnt excellerate but runs perfect without the battery. hell i can hop on it and ride it off. i got tired of messing with it and installed a kill switch on the bars. i told my...
xs-charge is the brand that mikesxs is selling. it is the same kit that i sell and tyler at tcbros sells. richard page in florida is the supplier of this kit. his website has all the information needed for installation, and each kit comes with very detailed instructions. tyler at tcbros...
