    Spend some to make some

Spending and Making? Only certain people have the combination of passion and money to do these justice. Most will end up in private collections and museums. As for selfishness? I don't really see it quite that way. During the 70's and 80's I collected a shit-load of bikes and parts no-one...

Overdrive 5th gear - Dropping/Slipping Out to Neutral

Not worth it. 1 cutter is only good for a handful of gears. And then comes the polishing. No one will pay the price. Then there's the post. This is a job you do for someone you like - a lot.

Overdrive 5th gear - Dropping/Slipping Out to Neutral

Not an isolated problem. Just one that is being ignored. Fits the business model. They have long been made aware of the isssue.

Overdrive 5th gear - Dropping/Slipping Out to Neutral

We've been undercutting those pockets for some time now. 3° works good. VHM cuttter followed by polishing. Dremel doesn't provide the necessary accuracy.

What do the letters on the lower end of fork tube stand for?

These are different forks.. the DF clamp looks like a 34mm fork with one of the guard mount lugs removed, The NU is a later model 35mm fork. Do you have pictures of the others, WN,OA,OH? Also, the DF studs are asymmetrically mounted. I have 3 sets of XS650 and 1 set of SR500 forks-all with...

For Sale - '73 Yamaha Racing Parts and Racing Tips

Some time ago I picked these 2 folders up The information in them is basically historical. The Tips manual covers general information, a lot of uninteresting stuff for 2 stroke porting etc and a chapter on the XS650. The Parts manual is mostly for the XS650 and the parts, original Yamaha...

Look at the shaft splines. You can get it all together but the fit isnt perfect. As an aside, apparently the gear hardness is also different(?)

    High Performance Cylinder Heads??

The 650 Central heads aren't a copy of the factory racing heads as the castings are completely different. They attempt to replicate some of the modification specs used on production heads.

    what the hell is this

Could be some truth in that Robbo. I heard Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones were competing in an endurance contest, bunting their way through Neptunes harem of underage mermaids. The prize was apparently Capt Nemos personal 3U6 that he lost while being buttfucked by an African Polar Bear after a game...
