Opinions... Any problems with this stuff. My '75 XS has light surface rust on the inside that keeps coming back. Do I try it or not? I've heard bad things about it.

Thanks Leo, that's the info I needed. So I think I'm going with 100/90-19 front and 120/90-19 rear. Anybody had any experience with the IRC Durotour RS-310 tires?

But I need to order new tires and I want to upgrade to wider but don't want to go to far and they not fit. Anybody running 120 or 130 on the rear and 100 on the front? ('75 XS650 bone stock no mods.)

I've lowered the shocks on my '75 XS so now the sidestand is a hair to long and makes the bike stand more upright than I feel safe with. Is there a different year model sidestand I can use to give it more angle. Thanks.

I was really wanting the different angle on the shocks, not so much lower. If fact I think I going to pick up some shocks a little longer to bring the bike back to stock height.

I've been wanting to change the angle of the rear shocks on my '75 XS but haven't been able to find anything that would do that. I always could find lowering kits for the CB750s I've had, heck I've even got a set on my '76 GL1000. But for my '75 XS....nothing! Till last week. Ebay comes through...

Hey Leo, Thanks for the replies. I think I can simplify it even more. The inside dimension of the U bracket that the bottom of the XS shock bolts in is 3/4". The inside dimension of the U bracket on the bottom of a CB750 rear shock is the same. All I need is a solid piece of 3/4" steel...

I found an earlier thread on here that mentioned "lowering blocks" were available for the XS650. Anybody have a set? I would like to see some pictures if you do. Thanks!

Anyone have any ideas on how to move the bottom rear shock mounts back a little. I would like to get a little more angle to the rear shocks. I know you can get "lowering blocks" for old Hondas. Anything like that for a '75 XS? Thanks

Several years ago I had a 16" rim laced to my '75 XS650 hub. A good friend of mine. who is a great engine mechanic, did it for me. There is less clearance on the right side of the tire than the left side. My question is, is it possible he laced the rim off center just a little? Can that be done...
