    Petcock swap

All, 79 SF here. Going to be swapping tanks out in the near future. Questions is this....when swapping petcocks (non vacuum type) are there gaskets or other parts to replace when mounting to a new tank? Or can I simply pop on the petcocks and go for it?

Wanted - Carmine Red Side Cover for 79 SF

As the ad says, whatcha got? Looking for L/R set with original paint. Some patina/wear is fine. Finally found a decent original paint tank, so like a similar set of covers to match. There are a few on ebay right now but wanted to check with the gang here to see if anybody wants/needs to let go...

    Let's See The XS's

Thanks...it was an eBay purchase a few years back. Advertised to fit "most Jap bikes of the 70's area" and on whatever the headlight measurement is. Sure enough, it fit. Can't recall who sold it and the vendor is long gone.Bet you could find one tho. It is zip tied in some strategic locations...

Digging in for Starter Gear/Spring Repair

Interesting. So the relay was added later in the model run? Thankfully there is still a good supply of pull off relays still floating around on ebay. I waited until I found one that was advertised off a low mile bike, looked clean and was priced reasonably. I think mine was $25 w/ shipping. Is...

Digging in for Starter Gear/Spring Repair

Follow up.... Replaced the starter gear, wishbone and return spring and still had grinding and over run. Realized that I could tap the starter button when the bike was running and could reproduce the noise I was hearing. So I suspected the relay was the issue. I also noticed the previous owner...

    Let's See The XS's

Thanks gents. #2 Decal and pin stripe cover up some peeling of the clear coat, so more function than form. Previous owner did a yeoman's job on the paint however, there are a few spots where the clear started to peel and crack. Cost effective way to cover those spots and add a little style, I...

Motorcycle transporter - Only good ones you have used

https://haulbikes.com/ used them on more than one occasion. It's not the cheapest but, it's done right. I've used U ship a few times but quality can vary depending on the vendor and it's a bit more of a process where you have to put the shipment out for bid.
