Trying to get my 73 TX 650 up and rolling for the DGR and, as with most projects, the closer I get to finished the further away I seem. Can someone tell me if there is supposed to be a vacuum line between these ports? I got the bike for free and the carbs from fleabay

It should. I've used that trick with Subarus and they have a 17 mm plug. Cheers!

Take the oil cap off and have a helper hold the hose of a small shop vac on the opening while you swap out the plug and washer. I use this trick on cars when a customer has a leaking drain plug gasket.
