    Clear/Aluminum stator covers

My Black one arrived yesterday, I do however have a problem with it. It looks so nice that I'm now going to have to make the rest of the engine look just as good, many more dollars spent  Great workmanship, well worth the asking price.

Best Location For Spin on Oil Filter.

The one from 650 Central fits on the side of the motor, replacing the filter screen in the side cover. While the one from Smedspeed fits a modified sump plate underneath the engine. Hope I've explained it well enough.

Best Location For Spin on Oil Filter.

I would like to install a spin-on oil filter on my 77 XS650, came across 2 options I like the look of. But does one location work better than the other ? http://www.650central.com/engine.htm http://www.smedspeed.co.uk/sumpfilter.html Thanks, Clive

Thanks for all the comments/tips, will keep an eye on the adjusters. After browsing the forum I see that there's quite a lot of sub standard aftermarket parts out there, starting to figure out who makes the good stuff.

Saw a post the other day from a guy in CT with a fab/bike building shop, looks like he's the closest shop to me. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks, Clive
