I have oil seeping out of my carburetor sounds like rings, just put new rings in 3 months ago. Any other idea's?

Question, anyone have any idea why my motorcycle is burning oil, about half a quart every 2 weeks. It's not smoking and not leaking anywhere I can see. I'm using 20/50 Valvoline. Any suggestions.

I have a Yamaha XS 650 where the speedometer has a loose screw out on the face of mph meter. Can't get to it and seems impossible to take this apart. Anyone know where and original gauge is or who can fix the one I have.. mikes xs doesn't have.

I'm on it dog bunny, thanks for your help I'll give it a shot. I just bought my bike 2 months ago, had 22000 miles on it. Had just been sitting in garage. I put new floats master cylinder and brake lines on. A beautiful bike, I love owning it.

Sometimes it misses just out of the blue, but I've been riding 30 miles home in 95 degree weather the last couple of days. It's been hot. When I'm about home it starts missing and I can't accelerate fully, I have to ease into gas so it doesn't stall out. It's just been the last couple of days...

My 650 will go for days without stalling, then they'll be days I'm going from 1st to 2nd and it will stall, will do the same 2nd to 3rd and has even cut off. I've replaced points, plugs twice, auto advanced assembly, and adjusted timing. Anyone have any ideas? Plus it will run fine next day...
