    Wanted - BS 38s

Thanks, Aussie. I think first I'll try a repair on a set of BS34s I have and see if I can make them work. How did you like the VM34s? Cheers!

    For Sale - Hardtail 1981

Thanks, Marty. And gotcha. I guess I was thinking that anyone that wants to see more detail will come take a look, because I was thinking folks aren't going to travel far for this bike. But I get your point, and appreciate your feedback. Cheers!

    DIY Walnut Motorcycle Service Bench

Thanks, Bob. Like I said, those guys put together a more detailed drawing for what they did. It's here. I think they would love to hear from anyone who built something to their plans.

    DIY Walnut Motorcycle Service Bench

That table is nice, Bob. There is quite a bit of information "out there" on it, but it seems to come from a 1942 Fort Knox motorcycle mechanics handbook. I guess mostly used for Harley-Davidson 45" sidevalves. This site has some pretty good links and info on it, and if I can figure out how I...

M-unit pma setup with a capacitor

That seems pretty responsible. I would think that with a reg/rec. designed not to overcharge lithium batteries you would be fine, but there are lot of folks on here more knowledgeable than me about those sorts of things. Thanks for posting the link, though - I didn't know about those folks.

M-unit pma setup with a capacitor

I'm pretty sure that I remember that you have to have a battery to use the M-Unit.

What have you done to your XS today?

Morning. I am a bit of a lurker here, and not much of a poster. I have a couple of XSs, but haven't posted anything on them, as neither of them are riders for a couple years now, and my progress on them has been so slow that to call it progress is being generous to me. But I do visit the forum...

Stripped Thread Repair Valve Cover Studs

Hey, folks. I am dealing with the same problem. Bottom stud on the right exhaust valve cover. I've looked through the threads and seen the various fixes: Gary's "meatball mechanic" homemade reducer stud, JB Weld, or high-temp/slow-set epoxy, Marty's form-a-thread, and Heli Coil. I don't think I...
