    Engine Design Questions

Only 38 were built, the reason was that the engine supplier stopped production. The engine was intended for a Citroën GS (French car) which of course also never happened. Funny thing is by 2011, the leftover OCR 1000 parts had been purchased by Andries Wielinga, who built 10 complete motorcycles...

    Chain Question

Take hold of the back of the chain on the sprocket, and pull the chain away from the sprocket, if you can get it more than about half a tooth away from the sprocket, the chain need to be replaced. If the chain and rear sprocket are ok, just change the front sprocket and lube it. Riveted chains...

WENT FOR A NICE RIDE AND THEN THIS HAPPENED.............

LOL! What's in a name eh? :) When you move the bike (like pushing it forward without the engine running) can you hear it then? Or put it in gear, pull the clutch and push the bike forward/backward.

WENT FOR A NICE RIDE AND THEN THIS HAPPENED.............

I meant: Just try to move the rear wheel back an forth to see if there is a lot of play that shouldn't be there and perhaps causes the noise. It's to try to diagnose where that sound is coming from.

WENT FOR A NICE RIDE AND THEN THIS HAPPENED.............

So it seems in the drive train section then. Front sprocket loose? Chain adjustment? Is it rattling against something? Or worse; clutch? Is the clutch working properly? Hard to take a wild guess of course, but try to look for the obvious first before you dismantle the lot. Put the bike on the...

Do you carry an emergency kit?

Nice one. I've got a square bag myself, so it's interchangeable left or right. It was actually a sissy bar bag which I used for 12 years on my Low Rider. It's now attached with two leather straps to the frame underneath the saddle. Between the blinker and the shock. I bolted a small iron strip...
