it lookks like the weld has been ground off. the heat mark where your bead was is a sign you are about to grind through the weld. a good welder should be able to run another pass on it

I'm a pipe welder and I would not use that welder. I dont think u can evin hook gas up to that machine so u can only use the inner sheild wire. U can get a Lincoln from home depot for around 500 with the gas set up but those machine only have 5 heat settings. I think u can get a miller or...

emzdogz the bottles are different. the gas might be the problem. i have never heard of welding solid wire with straight C02. the only time i have used straight C02 was when using a dual sheild wire, flux in the wire and a shielding gas. it burns hot and penetraits

emzdogz, you definitely need to make sure you are welding with reverse polarity when using solid wire and gas, this means the gun is positive and the ground is negative. not sure what the polarity is for flux core as i dont have experience with this process. but if you are welding solid wire...

i think that was a 8 " pipe i welded that last year at work and was laying it down so slick that day i had to take a pic. some days are better than others and i was in the zone. no one can teach you how to weld only give you some basic intructions the rest is up to you more art than science...

not trying to say you are a sh@t you just need more practice and they probably edited a ton of f#$k ups out of that episode. this sh$t aint easy
