The future of electricity is in Thorium Molten Salt reactors. They produce almost no waste, can burn the waste of our current reactors, and cannot melt down. If we could just get the NRC to work with the scientists and companies wishing to build the things.

Thank you, sir. I lost a very dear friend last year, and have had trouble writing since (not to mention we're in the process of selling/buying/moving). Once we're in our new home, I hope I can get back to it. As for the name, I admit, I stole it from the movie "Eddie and the Cruisers."

    To Bondo or Lead

I would use a good grade of Gorilla Hair, followed by a good grade of body plastic to finish it up. Lead is great, but if you don't know what you're doing, it can allow rust to form underneath it.

Any Recommendations for a Good Set of Metric Wrenches?

I used to sell tools for a living (first Mac, then Cornwell), and my tool box is full of SK. Made in the USA, durable, and they fit the fastener well.

What about doing them in copper? Copper is easily chrome plated, but it is also easily bent to shape.

    One master cylinder for both?

Here is a Moto Guzzi proportioning valve. Note how it has a mechanism that links to the swingarm so the amount of pressure to the rear wheel decreases as the back of the bike rises...

    One master cylinder for both?

Do you honestly believe you can scrub off more speed using your body as a friction material that you can with good brakes and tires? If you understand counter steering, you can brake in a turn. Yes, it upsets the suspension. Yes, you are correct insomuch as it is better not to. But yes, you...

    One master cylinder for both?

Bad Idea. Without being able to regulate the amount of braking going to the back (as compared to the front), you will one day lock the real wheel and go down in a turn. Yes, manufacturers like Moto Guzzi have been linking brakes for a long time, but they are properly proportioned to avoid...

    1980 new project teardown

Take lots of photos. Take photos of everything before and as you disassemble it. Put all bolts back in their corresponding holes, or bag them and attach them to the part they go with. Loud pipes do not save lives. They annoy the people around you and make it hard for you to hear what's going...

2 into 2, single side exit

Thinking aloud for a future project... Does anyone make a 2 into 2 where both pipes exit on the same side (à la Harley)? Thanks! Bill
