Wiring a relay for headlight and have questions.

Maybe a different way to reduce electrical load while starting the bike - switch everything to LED. I just installed an LED H4 bulb in my headlight. I haven't checked the wattage, but the electrical system seems happier. The headlight doesn't dim/flicker with the blinkers any more!

    Problems starting my TX650

Chiming in late...if the bike sat for a while, I've seen points quit working after sitting. I have a Ford 8N tractor. I'd replace the points, get it running fine. Park it for a year. Next year the points refused to carry any current. They looked fine. Sandpaper and contact cleaner never...

    XS650.com Software Update

I'm pretty new to the forum. I'm glad to see you guys haven't sold out to a big corporation. One of my car forums did that and it's been a headache ever since. They have plastered ads all over the site, the admins are a rotation of non-responsive people that have zero interest in cars. Yay...

    Bleedin' brakes

I think I have it - finally! Success involved using all the tricks in the book. Pushing the Pistons back, then pumping them out seemed to have been the trick that made the difference. For next time, I think I'd bench bleed the calipers by themselves before hooking them up. They seemed to be...

    Bleedin' brakes

Make that "...fighting two Pistons in the calipers..." I'll try bleeding with the calipers not mounted to the shock so I can position the bleeder up, and pushing the Pistons back.

    Bleedin' brakes

I am fighting with my TX650 front brake and I'd love some suggestions! I bought a new master cylinder, new banjo fittings, new caliper, new stainless braided line from 650Central - the entire system from top to bottom. The new master cylinder will not bleed. I have tried pushing fluid from the...
