Here's mine. A stock 78

theres a shop in my town that offers soda blasting and I'm considering bringing them my motor. My question is should I disassemble the motor or mask off the parts I don't want blasted. I'm wanting to polish the tappet covers and side covers later as well as the fin edges I think.

What about stock takeoff rims from harleys. Anybody ever try that approach. Just a thought. i dont have my bike near me to make measurements so thats why the random questions.

that's what I'm talking about. you can get a hd complete rim for a couple hundred bucks but for us nothing. its quite frustrating really

Has anyone ever made aftermarket front and rear hubs. It seems like trying to get spoked wheels for these bikes is a near impossibility.

hey people. I'm in the process of purchasing a set of rims from someone in the states and I want to get them shipped to ogdensburgh ny. I live across the border so I think that's my best option. should I get the complete rims or the hubs only to save on weight and hoe exactly do I pay the dude...

it would be from a gentleman in the states. another question then, would it be a 16 inch rear drum and 18 inch front disk. would I be wise to get him to ship me the hubs with brake drum and disk for weight /cost reasons. I'm looking for a hardtail with a 2.5 /16 rear and skinny 19 front look

Would an 80 front hub be able to lace up to a 21 inch rim from mikes. as well would the rear hub be able to lace to a 16 rim. I have a 78 with cast and want to switch to spokes that size. working on finding some hubs that would work.

Thanks for all the input guys. I had the chance to buy a combo unit years ago and passed on it. Hallf of me is glad and the other half is crying now. Im probably gonna buy a bunch of tabs brackets and heim joints from tc bros and drive down to the machine shop when needed.

looking for thoughts and recommendations for us up in Canada about buyin a mill or lathe from harbour freight or princess auto to make mounting tabs brackets and the like as opposed to paying a machine shop
