Has anyone made a set of clipons from the lower clamps off the tree and some 7/8ths tubing? If so , I would like to see pics or find out if it will even work... Thanks:bike:

Hey, I've got a couple of these in the garage....gone to pamco on the chop and the cafe is a 79 w points......I have no friggin use for em. They are from an 80 special, one dropped a valve and was scrapped by PO and the other had a bum pickup and thats gone pamco. can get pics if you want em...

FYI.... they have a 36 tooth rear sprocket as well....real shitty on the highway but good for pulling stumps and the odd car out of the snowbank...i spose?? Anyways, do yourself a favor and get a 34 tooth at least or even smaller.

Yep.. I have 2 650 specials out here in Newfoundland... both have 36t sprockets....Friggin useless... I have a 34t on now and its getting better but I think I might be going with the 32t afterall.

Yup!! I got a couple here in Newfoundland. Chrome might be pitted a bit but solid nonetheless. Lemme know..:)

I have to agree....if you're stuck you could nurse it around on two master links...as long as they are in good shape. but you should be on the look out for the replacement roller that you have now. I lost two of those atu timing advance set pins on my garage floor and still havent found them.... ;)

I bought the DID heavy duty 530 chain listed in the article for this bobber project on e&ay for a third of what it costs elsewhere....I think itll be fine for the bit of skooting around town and to work.....just use pj1 and youll be fine..:)

I did the tcbros hardtail on mine and I had to cut a few links out of a 120 link chain... I think it was 4 but I cant be sure...:)
