    Calendar critique

Sorry folks, I'll keep this kind of stuff to PMs from now on. I suggest those who have opinions about every little thing, do the same, "professional" or otherwise. Also, I don't think posting photos of family members holding large wooden clubs is appropriate.

Your telling a guy he cant have a say on the net....................YES SIR, THREE BAGS FULL SIR......... That was MY “say on the net” Skull. Take it with a grain of salt, or pour it over your f*@#ing Wheaties. Men ride, Little girls have opinions!

Hmmm... I’m looking at the same photos, and I don’t see anything wrong with them “Fred-in-toon”. And for someone who has no photography experience... I think my pictures came out awesome. In fact, they came out exactly how I wanted them to. I’m pretty sure the only people who give two turtle...

    Big fat tire look

^That’s right Setroc, those tires are roughly 5.35” wide. Even if you managed to get the correct hubs, spokes... they’re too wide for your forks, and your chain will almost certainly rub against the rear. I was going for a similar look, and the widest I could clear was a 4.5” on the rear, and 4”...

Thanks Ken. I sent him a PM, and he responded right away.

    TCI Box Issue?

It’s actually the original coil. I’ve never needed to change it out until now. The other one I tried is the exact one from another ‘81. It changed nothing. That’d be a first for me :umm: but I’ll give it a shot. I suppose now is the time to try it all, with everything exposed.

    TCI Box Issue?

Hmmmm... you may be right Jim. I’ve tried a different coil, but that one was used too. It’s not unlikely that one was shot also. Do you know of a sure fire way to test that? I’ve ran the bike 3 times in a row now with no issues, after closing up the gap. So It’s gotta be ignition!

    TCI Box Issue?

Thanks 2M... that makes sense. Jim, I meant that the issue is always come and go, which makes it difficult to determine whether or not closing the gap actually made any change. I have to run it a few more times to see for sure if this made a difference. If so, I’ll close them up a bit more and...

    TCI Box Issue?

Hey 2M, I gave it a try. I set them both to about 0.018”... it fired right up and ran perfectly. However, the issue comes and goes each time I start it, so it’s still difficult to tell if it made a difference. I’ll ride it a bit more and see if it persists. Why would the gapping make such a an...

    TCI Box Issue?

Hey guys, I need a little bit of help. I don’t know much about electricity and it’s mysterious ways, but I’ve been having an issue with my ‘81, and I’m pretty sure it’s electrical. I found some older threads where a couple of members experienced the exact same symptoms on their TCI XSs, and...

    Rear shocks on a hardtail?

If you don't need them to function, then yeah... I suppose you can mount them wherever you want. Definitely haven't seen that done before.

    Rear shocks on a hardtail?

Hey Bobby, The only way you can really have shocks on a hardtail is with a plunger set-up. Like this... The examples above are brats. Hardtails have no swing arm.
